The goal of this program is to educate students in a fun and engaging way about the sport of archery. Kids will learn archery terminology, safety and education. They will learn the proper way to stand, aim and shoot a compound bow. This team competes provincially against other NASP schools in the program.
As a by-product of the program kids develop focus, discipline, patience, self-control and many report feeling more connected to their school as a result. The program has a 50:50 male to female participation ratio. It’s open to any student grades 4 to 12, there is no discrimination based on athletic ability, size, gender or academic ability. Everyone makes the archery team when they join.
